Sell Books While You Sleep: Submit Short Articles to Multiple Web Sites

Have you wasted valuable time and money on book promotion
that doesn't work? Have your press releases been ignored?
Have you been too quiet about getting the word out how your
book will help solve people's problems?

Passion and creativity went into your book, now it's time to
put passion and creativity into promoting it! Since no one
really cares as much about your book as you do, then take
time to learn this new, effective way to sell books.

Know that the world wide Web audience wants and needs your
information your expertise, how-to's, your experience or
entertainment.

If you are willing to take four-five actions each day to
promote your products, you will have successful sales.
Follow these steps to learn how to promote your book on line
and make big sales:

Step One.

Do what you do best--write! Create several short "how-to"
articles, short stories, poetry or humor, anywhere from
75-1200 words.

Prepare several lengths of the same article. For one
eMagazine I submitted a seventy-five-word article on how to
write a short article. For a top business Web site, I
expanded it to 900 words. For some, I only submit 400-500 word
articles.

Take responsibility for book promotion yourself. If your
publisher's sales disappoint you, your own marketing weak,
you can still create ongoing, lifelong profits.

Online promotion is great if you are totally bashful or
reluctant to "sell." You don't have to talk to anyone in
person. You promote straight from your home or office.

Now, that's convenience! Learn the basics from teleclasses
and seminars, an Online Promotion Coach, the internet, and
professional networking organizations.

Step Three.

Develop Internet savvy. When you don't take this step, you
will hang back, and stay stuck in fear. Action spurs you on.

Take a free community college course, or visit your library
for help. In just three hours, I learned about search
engines, and other basics.

If you are like me and are passionate to succeed, then hire
a coach or virtual assistant from a local high school or
tech school to move you forward much faster.

Jump in and get yourself an email address and try out
surfing. You won't need a Web site right away, but authors
should eventually have one.

Step Four.

Visit the top Web sites in your field. Without them, your
book won't get much exposure. Many authors report only a few
sales from their own sites.

High traffic web sites are always looking for new material
(your articles) to entice their visitors to come back, again
and again. Their ezines reach from 2000 to 500,000 each
issue! That's great free exposure for you. Notice their signals:
"New material added daily."

In turn, they will put your "signature" which includes the
title of your book and the Web address where it can be
purchased.

It doesn't have to be your Web site. With just one short
article posted in a ezine, one bookcoaching client received
eight emails asking for more information.

These responses gives the author another chance at a sale,
and to be known as the market expert. Many authors are
professional coaches, consultants or therapists, so when
the person contacts them, they can mention these other
services.

Step Five.

Run a search on the top search engines to find the top ten
Web sites in your field. Go to www.google.com, or
www.yahoo.com. Perhaps your subject is women's self
care. Think of the key words or meta tags these sites would
use for people to easily find them.

A few would be "women or women's self care," "healthy
women," "young women and self care," "mature women's self
care," "working women with children self care." Use other
words for self care,

Think of the benefits your book gives these women. Include
those in the key words--"regain childhood energy", "reclaim
youthful vitality." Submit several key words.

Then visit the Web sites to see their layout and whether or
not they have a regular ezine that needs tips, excerpts, or
stories.

If their site puts up new articles up regularly, your
information has a chance to bring you increased product
sales.

Step Six.

Write a note to the Web master or content person, submitting
the titles of your articles or stories. You may want to send
an article along as a sample of your writing.

It may be a complimentary chapter from your book, or an
excerpt that solves a problem for their visitors. Think
benefits when you submit.

What can your material do for their site-their visitors?
Before you send anything out, after several peer edits, have
it professionally edited.

Step Seven.

Place your book and other products on as many publishing
sites as possible. One I use is InfoPost.com. Now, authors
can be in control of their promotion, with far less effort,
and get the respect, support and sales they deserve.

When you submit your book to them, whether by print or
ebook, they will accept credit cards, fill customer orders,
take their commission (far less than a traditional
publisher) and send you the royalties every few months.

Each publishing Online company has its own contract, so
choose the non-exclusive one for your biggest benefit.

Multiple sites equal multiple sales. You don't even need
your own web site to sell your books!

Step Eight.

Organize your research. Start a file called "Web sites to
Link With." If you don't keep track of your promotion
contacts, you will not be able to follow up.

Professional people always follow-up. They develop
relationships with the people they want to do business with.
Start a communication sheet for these people either on your
computer or in a physical file.

For instance, for publishing sites, list the contact person
(Web master or content person), their email and web site
URL. Include your note to them.

Keep track of what you offer, what they like, what they
take. Date your communications.

Not everyone will respond, but with your persistence, many will!

At the end of your note, ask that they include a link back
to either your site or other publishing sites where your
books are offered.

If you are like me, not a technical person, hire a person
who can do the research for you. Remember, people who visit
top sites are looking for free information and entertainment.

They will appreciate your articles, may even pass them on
to friends and associates. Many will go to your site or
other sites to check out your book--even buy it. Web sites
want your information. It seems like a marriage made in
cyber heaven.

This was not your father's television but it was cutting edge and took chances and maintained a bite to it while providing so many laughs and yet..

"Looking For Good Copywriter Books?"

If you are looking for copywriter books, youll want to devote some time to reading. In fact, if you plan to look online for your copy writer resources, you might as well just devote your life to reading! There are so many books that are available for you to purchase. Sure, there are standard things that each book will probably include. And, like the vast amount of diets out there, copywriter books are just as versatile and, unfortunately, misleading.

Now, before you get frustrated with that, lets clarify that there are many thousands of different copywriter books available. Some do have very good points, business tips, and offer a great amount of help. But, lets get realistic when it comes to the outrageous claims of making millions as a freelance copy writer just from reading a book. Like those fad diets, there are those that like to fluff the quality of their material incredibly. The key is to find the good stuff, pull it out, and use it wisely.

Lets think about that analogy about diets claiming fantastic results again. We all know that tried and true diet of eating healthy, well balanced meals and getting in a good amount of exercise is going to result in weight loss, right? The same goes for these books claiming fantastic results. If you want a freelance career as a copy writer that makes you millions, youll need to work for it, from the beginning.

There is no easy way to make a career as a proof reader or copy writer unless you build strong, good relationships with your clients from the beginning. Sure, you can find copywriter books that can give you great tips on how to get out there, how to present yourself, and how to make your business work, but in the end, if your work is not of good quality, you can forget the whole thing. Do not be discouraged away from purchasing these books though. They can provide you with an outstanding amount of useful information. Just dont set your goals so high that you cant see the first step of the ladder!

Read And Learn Bible

Read And Learn Bible

Parents and children can deepen their understanding of the Bible by reading Bible stories together. The Read and Learn Bible features stories from the Old and New Testament including: Genesis, Noah and the Flood, Exodus, Daniel in the Lion's Den, The Story of Queen Esther, The Nativity, Jesus the Teacher, Jesus Comes to Jerusalem, and many more.Illustrated in full color with callouts to help deepen the meaning of the stories, and parent pages to help in discussion, this is a Bible that children can share with their parents, and that parents will want to share with their children.

Customer Review: Accurate Bible Stories for Children

Most childrens' Bibles either oversimplify the stories in the Bible, or change them so they are inaccurate. We were looking for something to start teaching our three year old the stories from the Bible and a friend lent us this book. Our son didn't want to stop reading it. We liked it so much for its accuracy yet understandability for younger children that we gave it as Christmas gifts this year to several friends and all our family with young children.

Customer Review: Lovely

We gave this book to a little girl in our church. Before we wrapped it, we started reading it and determined that adults love it too because we couldn't put it down. The colored pictures are fantastic and make you feel like you're right there with the characters. The stories are explained really well. We got our money's worth.

Customer Review: Great

I wanted to know more about my 2000 Corolla. This book gives you mostly clear instructions on how to replace components of your car. I wish I could compare it to Chilton's version of the car.

Customer Review: Haynes Repair Manual

The Haynes Repair Manuals are well worth the money. Keep in mind these are not as detailed as the auto manufacturer's service manuals, but of course you are only paying a fraction of the cost as the manufacturer's service manuals. These manual include most anything a weekend mechanic needs. They include several photos of repair procedures, tune-up specifications, torque specifications and electrical wiring diagrams for your vehicle. There are times the Haynes manuals lack some detail of your vehicle, but overall they are a good buy. I would recommended these manuals for most people. I always buy one for every vehicle I own.

Promote Your Books Through Flyers

Promote Your Books Through Flyers
Judy Cullins 2003 All Rights Reserved.

A good, inexpensive way to promote your books is a flyer.
What makes one flyer so much better than another? Use these
10 tips to make yours stand out from the crowd.

1. Include your front cover. People want to see what your book
looks like. Color is great, but not necessary. Make sure your
colored book cover copies well in black and white. It's far
cheaper to print in black and white.

2. Hook your prospective buyers with the headline in the top line.
For instance, read about SEX as it really is! Give your audience
a reason to buy--Show those benefits!

3. Include some juicy excerpts. Buyers want to see a sample of
your writing.

4. Include your picture with a brief biography near it. People
want to see what the author looks like. Place it on the right
side if possible.

5. Add praise from others. This is the most important way to
market. The praise doesn't have to be from famous people. One
author added a testimonial from a convict!

6. Put ordering information on a coupon at the flyer's bottom.
Include ISBN number, Web site URL, and discount information.

7. Make it easy to buy. Offer easy ways to buy: credit cards, checks
or money orders. Include your toll-free 800 number.

8. Give your buyers all the ways to stay in touch with
you-street address, e-mail, Web Site, local phone and fax
number, and 800 number.

9. Carry at least 25 flyers with you in a folder. Give one to
every person you meet. Remember the "law of seven." After
seven exposures, you have a buyer!

10. Use the backside of the flyer. Multiply buying results with
more testimonials on the back. Include a longer excerpt from
your book there.

Your flyer is an extension of you and your book, and one of the
least expensive ways to market with print. Print hundreds, even
thousands so your book buying public can easily purchase your
book.

Toddler Bundle (Pooh Toddler, Mickey Toddler, and Book of Pooh)
Disney's Toddler encourages kids to explore, discover and create while they learn about ABCs, 123s, colors, shapes, and more. See your little one develop important early learning skills while happilyinteracting with Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh and other Disney friends. Children fundamental learning skills while fueling their creativity and imagination. Includes The Book of Pooh a Story without a Tail CD-ROM.

Customer Review: Seems like a good game

I bought this game at the same time that I bought the JumpStart Toddler game. My son will be 2 in a few months and I thought that he would enjoy the Disney characters. I think that when he gets a little older and his computer skills get a little better he will enjoy these games much more. The only one that we have tried is the Mickey Mouse one. My son got bored fairliy quickly because he needed much more help than he needs with the Jumpstart game. I think that this game would be better for older toddlers.

Customer Review: Fantastic, my first choice as a gift

This is a fantastic set! The favorite disc of the three is "The Book of Pooh," although the Mickey Mouse one is a close second. The activities are really fun, with great graphics and classic pooh-character humor and scripts. It was my daughter's first software at three, and now as a first grader she still loves it. My three-year-old son was able to teach himself the games and how to navigate the menus. He plays with it without needing any help. We loved it so much we give it to friends with toddlers, and when one of our discs was broken, we bought the whole set of three again.

Carnival Steel Drum Collection: Hot Hot Hot & More, Vol.1
This unique collection offers instrumental steel drum versions of popular favorites.

Songs: Red Red Wine, I Can See Clearly Now, Day'O, Limbo Rock, Shake Senora, Jammin', La Bamba, Tequila, Volcano, Hot, Hot, Hot.

Customer Review: Ugh!

I was looking for music for an island theme party. The selection looked fun -- a lot of recognizable summer party songs with the steel drum flair. But then I bought it and actually listened to it. The steel drum parts are really good; however, the synthesized accompaniment is over powering and really cheesy (it sounds like it should be on Barney). Please, save your money and look elsewhere.

The Place and Future of Electronic Books

THE PLACE AND FUTURE OF ELECTRONIC BOOKS

by Craig Lock
http://www.craiglockbooks.com

Just sharing a few thoughts on the place of E-books in today's world.
I believe ebook publishing is the way of the future (as shown
by Steven King's "Riding the Bullet"), though I believe there
will always be a place for traditional publishing with paper
books. People will always love holding a real book out in the
sun for their holiday reading. I just believe electronic-publishing
is way cheaper and immediate compared to "hard copy"
publishing. Thus it has many benefits for the reading consumer,
as well as talented new authors, who may find great difficulty in
getting their work accepted by traditional publishing houses-
especially the well-known ones who rarely take on new authors
in the current harsh publishing environment.
In addition, things are moving so fast with reading aids in
electronic publishing. New technology is constantly developing
the hand-held reader, so soon you may be able to down-load
novels at the beach.

May the two forms of publishing work in tandem in the future,
to the benefit of the consumer. In time all of Craig Lock's 17
books will be available both electronically, as well as paper
copies.
