The Best Books in Golf

There are a lot of books out there on the wonderful game of golf but not too many are worth keeping and reading again. You will notice there are no instruction manuals in our list, because trying to learn how to play golf from a book is like trying to become a great lover by reading an illustrated magazine on self-abuse. Also, ?best? means most enjoyable ? either because of their excellence or excrescence.

The Rub of the Green, William Hallberg

Often mysteriously overlooked but, with the exception of PG Wodehouse, the only good novel featuring golf ever written. Its hero goes to gaol but dreams of turning the prison swamp into a great two-hole course ? trouble is, he needs the help of the frankly mad and disordered ground staff to realise the dream.
?I laughed until I wet myself.? Her Majesty the Queen.

The greatest Game Ever Played, Mark Frost.

The story of how an unknown American amateur, Francis Ouimet, took on two of the game?s greats ? Harry Vardon and Ted Ray ? in the US Open; matched them for 72 holes and then beat them in the playoff. So well-written (by a man who really knows his craft) and absorbing that you forget you know the ending.

?An achingly beautiful and yet powerful homage to the indomnitable spirit of the down-trodden lumpen proletariat, evoked in a lyrical paean of sensitivity, encapsulating all that is esoteric but vibrantly alive in the unending quest of the individual to rise above the circumstances of his birth.? Lee Westwood.

My autobiography, Bernhard Langer

The title is the most original thing about it and it takes true genius to make a life as rich and interesting as Langer?s read like a recipe for beans on toast. Ghost-written by a man described as a ?writer and a director of Christians in Sport.? The second part of the description may be true, the first definitely isn?t. It starts with the words: ?I was born in Anhausen, near Augsberg in Southern Germany on 27 August 1957,? and then gets really dull.

?The world is full of books, and this is one of them.? Arnold Palmer.

Four-iron in the Soul, Lawrence Donnegan

A season as a Tour caddie (to Ross Drummond, and whatever happened to him?) The idea?s been done before, but not by someone with Donnegan?s eye for detail, sharp observation and wit. Full of great anecdotes ? did you know that Al Capone cheated at golf ? and greater characters.
?Say that about me again and I?ll deck you.? Blind-boy, Pirate, Dustbin-Legs, Road-Runner McGhee, caddie to the stars.

Tarbuck on Golf, Jimmy Tarbuck

No, of course not ? just wanted to make sure you were paying attention.
?Shome mishtake shurely,? Sean Connery.

Nice Jumper, Tom Cox

As Neil Sedaka almost said, growing up is hard to do. But if you become obsessed by a nerdy game, which means that everyone else at school thinks you?re the un-coolest thing since permed hair for boys, adolescence becomes a torturous journey in which all you do is play with your balls. The difference is, all your mates are doing it in the privacy of their bedroom while you?re out in public, striding the fairways.
?He could have my babies any time.? Laura Davies.

Bud, Sweat and Tees, Alan Shipnuck

The story of the 2002 US PGA champion Rich Beem, never knowingly confused with a mild-mannered, teetotal, sexual hermit, and his even more outrageous caddie, Steve Duplantis. It?s Tin Cup made real but without the irritation of Kevin Costner.
?He could have my babies any time.? John Daly.

Strokes of Genius, Thomas Boswell

Thoughtful, beautifully-written essays on the enduring and eternal appeal of golf, the landscapes over which it is played and the people who play it at the highest level. What more do you want?

?I liked the bit where the big shark ate all the tourists.? Sandy Lyle.

Fairways and Greens, Dan Jenkins

An anthology (that means ?collection? Lee) by the best golf journalist still working. Jenkins is American, old, irascible, bad-tempered and very funny. He cut his teeth writing about Ben Hogan for a local Texas newspaper and followed the miserable bastard for the rest of his glorious career, taking in every Major and big star since. No respecter of reputation, he tells the truth and can be forgiven anything ? including his love of playing golf from a motorised buggy.

?It?s got a lot of words, hasn?t it?? Robbie Williams.

The Modern Fundamentals of Golf, Ben Hogan

Okay, we?ll break our own rules on ?no instruction books? because this is, simply, the best ever written, by one of the greatest players to squint into the sun trying to decide if it?s a 6 or 7-iron to the green. Hogan was plagued in his early years by a vicious hook and learnt almost all he knew about golf by hitting balls and thinking about the results before hitting some more ? his practice routine made Vijay Singh look like a layabout. Larry Nelson was one of many to learn the game entirely from this book and went on to win three Majors and his first nine Ryder Cup matches on the bounce. And even if you never read the thing, you should have a copy on your bookshelves.

a) to suggest you know something about the game

b) in homage to the great man.

?I wouldn?t touch it with a bargepole,? Randy Huckenputz, 53 handicap.

In Search of the perfect golf club, Tom Wishon (with Tom Grundner)
Let?s face it, golf equipment is too technical, we?re all baffled by bullshit and manufacturers shovel it towards us by the bucketful. The net result is that we spend far too much money on clubs that are ill-suited to our swing and game, persisting in the delusional belief that we can buy better scores. That?s the bad news. The good news is that you can improve with the right equipment (but rarely with ?off the shelf? clubs), and this book tells you exactly how to find it. The author has credentials and inside knowledge up to here but most importantly, never forgets that he?s talking to technical morons, and therefore makes the study of equipment easy and understandable. You should never spend more than ?10 on a piece of golf equipment without first reading this book.

?My coefficient of restitution has never been better.? Tiger Woods

Decisions on the Rules of Golf, The R&A and USGA

No, really, this is truly an excellent book and one that will give you hours of harmless fun. We all find the Rules incomprehensible but this at least helps understand not only the laws themselves but the rationale behind some of the dafter things we can and cannot do on the golf course. It is astonishing the sort of questions that people ask our legislators. For example, someone enquired: ?If an opponent or fellow competitor is asked to attend the flagstick and refuses, do I have any redress?? (which we interpret to mean: ?Can I thump him??) and was told ?No?. It conjures up all sorts of images of feuding golfers having a bad tempered match to the point where one rejects the suggestion that he should hold the flag and the other gets so het up about it that he asks his club secretary to write to the R&A.

?Doh!? Homer Simpson.

The Golf Omnibus, PG Wodehouse

The master of all humourous golf writers, Wodehouse has been oft imitated but never bettered. He has introduced us all to the idea of a golfer being disturbed by the uproar of butterflies in an adjoining meadow; that a man can hold in contempt only three things ? slugs, poets and caddies with hiccups; and of another folding his beloved into his arms, using an interlocking grip. The language is a delight and this is a rarity among golf books in that it can be dipped into and re-read time and again with no loss of pleasure, to be reminded, among other things, of the group of golfing rabbits who held another player in high esteem because he once broke 90.

?it ws nt rlly my srt of thng if u no wot I mean? (via text), Michelle Wie

Getting? to the Dance Floor, Al Barkow

The past is a different country and they did things differently there, as this enjoyable book so vividly tells us. It describes the earliest days of the US PGA Tour, where it was a struggle for even the best to simply survive, by the simple expedient of talking to them. Many ? such as Sam Snead, Byron Nelson and Gene Sarazen ? will be familiar but many others ? Bill Spiller, Errie Ball and Leo Fraser, less so. Nevertheless, they all have fascinating stories to tell about life on Tour before endorsements, sponsorship deals, courtesy cars and golf groupies had been invented.

The Present
Customer Review: Difficult to find

I had never heard of this cd, came across it browsing your site. There was fast shipping and the product got here still sealed.

Customer Review: Better than I remembered

3.5 stars

This was a follow-up to their #1 album, Long Distance Voyager, and I think these guys climbed such heights with LDV that they set themselves up to fail on this one. At least, that was my initial impression. If memory serves correctly, I gave this a try a couple of times when it was initially released, and then set it aside and started listening to LDV again.

With the iPod revolution, I've started listening to some of my older music again, and I thought I'd give this another shot. What I discovered was that *I* had been expecting The Moody Blues to produce another LDV, and so was disappointed to get The Present. That was most unfortunate, because while The Present doesn't stand up head-to-head with LDV, there's a lot of worthy music here.

I'll admit, though, that I still found Blue World and Meet Me Halfway lacking and disappointing - bland music that doesn't really go anywhere. I'd always loved Sitting at the Wheel from the first time I heard it, and found that to be the same again. With different lyrics, it might have been a bigger hit for them. What I discovered was that Going Nowhere, It's Cold Outside of Your Heart, and Sorry (and perhaps I Am) were very notable songs. In fact, I've listened to Sorry by itself about eight times in the last two weeks alone.

The lesson, if there is one, is this: don't expect your favorite bands to give you exactly what they gave you before. You might miss out on some good music.

That said, many bands, when they release an album that becomes their "biggest hit ever" do try and duplicate that success. I think that Journey did it (unsuccessfully) - every song they released from Frontiers had a parallel on Escape.

I'm glad I gave this another go.

Wilton Cupcake Fun Book

Wilton Cupcake Fun Book
This new book from Wilton features 128 pages of over 150 new ideas for cupcakes, petit fours, mini-cakes and other individual desserts. It contains an extensive collection of projects and recipes featuring step-by-step decorating instructions, along with a delicious assortment of recipes for these individual treats, including fillings and icings for special occasions and holidays as well as day-to-day treats. Patterns are included in the book for creative cupcakes as well as a complete product listing from Wilton to complete your designs. Softcover, 8-1/4 x 10-3/4 with beautiful photographs.

Customer Review: we love this cupcake book

My husband and I love this cupcake book so much that we have bought it numerous time to give to our grown up children so that they can have the fun of making spectacularly whimsical cupcakes for their friends and children. The recipes for muffins and cakes are great. Every year wilton updates the creative aspects of a cake form and this one is just spectacular. The designs are doable by those with almost no coordination or cake decorating experience. The key is always to make your own frosting so it is thick enought to hold shapes, or add a LOT of powdered sugar to commercial frostings to thicken them. Anyway, there are literally 150 full color cupcakes. There are your hilarious farm animals, awesome swimmers for whom the cupcakes are inflatable innertubes, wedding cupcakes, floral, clowns, fruits, bunnies, seasonal and more. You will need to get some tips you may not normally have, but the ones you need are in the directions. I highly recommend the 24 cupcake stand Wilton makes for displaying your cupcakes. I use a 3 tiered dessert rack that is also a carousel that spins because I already have it for cakes. But there are some beautiful cupcakes that look awesome displayed on the top of any stemed goblet that has been turned upside down so the base become a litte table for the cupcake. The angel, penguin, and Christmas themes are just adorable, but there are sophisticate cupcakes too. If you buy the silicon cupcake holders you will be thrilled. Thoughful almost effortless fun for a loved ones special occassion.

Customer Review: Typical Wilton adverbook

I was a little disappointed in this book when I first got it. Since all you see on the cover is some "clown" cupcakes using the silly-feet baking cups (which I also purchased) I was expecting more uses of the silly-feet (I counted five), but it really covers whimsical cupcakes of all sorts, many of which would be suitable to make with children (easy to make).

It's really just an idea book and a catalog of Wilton products and what you can do with them. There is a helpful section called "The Perfect Cupcakes; How to bake, ice and decorate", and there are about six pages of recipes. Most cupcake instructions are from 1/8 to 1/2 page long, right next to a big, clear picture.

After getting over the "it wasn't what I expected" part of receiving this book, and seeing that my boyfriend seems rather enthusiastic about making really whimsical cupcakes and loves the silly-feet, I like this book more and more. Just don't expect anything sophisticated looking in it OR that many silly-feet ideas. If you are familiar with the typical adverbook that Wilton puts out, you shouldn't find any surprises here, and some of the recipes, which are a blend of from-a-mix and from-scratch, for the most part look very tempting.

There are six pages of really cute Halloween cupcakes, including a vampire in a coffin, and some skeletons/ghosts/tombstones.

Customer Review: Don't believe everything you READ

This product is probably the most controversial electronic product out there !

With all the reviews I read: "self policing, etc" I was very hesitant to buy the drive.

BUT, I am sooooo happy I did.

The drive installed in 3 minutes. Since I have Windows Vista, I had to download the new Minionet software from the WD support site.

Once, I did the rest was easy. I saved a bunch of mp3 and backup of my DVDs. I was able to access these files (when logged in through my account) from several anywhere.. from work, from a friends house.

Now for couple of cons:

1) Wireless transfers can be very slow for large files (4-5GB files)

2) If you log in yourself, you can access the media files from any computer with internet connection. If you send an "invite" to someone else, you can cannot share the media files.

Hope this helps with your purchase decision. I'm glad I bought it.

Customer Review: Avoid Unless You're a Masochist

I was a fairly loyal WD customer until this piece of junk drove me up the wall. All of the other complaints here are true:

The Mionet software is useless

The much-touted remote access feature requires a monthly subscription --blatant false advertising

It is unbelievably slow

And most important, it is just horribly unstable, throwing up all kinds of erratic behavior which will have you wasting hours to try and correct.

Avoid like the plague and shame on WD for subjecting an unsuspecting and (formerly) loyal customer to this abuse!!!

Lion King

Lion King
Not an ideal choice for younger kids, this hip and violent animated feature from Disney was nevertheless a huge smash in theaters and on video, and it continues to enjoy life in an acclaimed Broadway production. The story finds a lion cub, son of a king, sent into exile after his father is sabotaged by a rivalrous uncle. The little hero finds his way into the "circle of life" with some new friends and eventually comes back to reclaim his proper place. Characters are very strong, vocal performances by the likes of Jeremy Irons, Nathan Lane, and Whoopi Goldberg are terrific, the jokes are aimed as much (if not more) at adults than kids, the animation is sometimes breathtaking, and the music is more palatable than in many Disney features. But be cautious: this is too intense for the Rugrat crowd. --Tom Keogh

Customer Review: Disney...Greedy Genius

Ok, I love Disney. I am a 22 year-old male. I have no shame about the fact that I love these movies. They were a part of my childhood, so now I am buying them. It's just too bad I can't buy the Lion King brand-new because of that STUPID vault!!! Sure, Disney has some genius minds that realize if they withhold something, people will pay more for it. But do they really need to? If my company had the money and assets like Disney does (considering they own ESPN) i believe that i would not lock up my greatest films just so I can sell them for 30 or 40 dollars five years from now. True, it's a smart move but it makes some of the fans resent them. I just wanna buy The Lion King.

Customer Review: Lion King

I recently purchased this item from gassga568105 and not only did the product arrive promptly, but the quality of the movie was great. The Lion King is a Disney classic with memorable characters and art. I recommend this movie for anyone with children or adults interested in Disney cartoons.

Teton Bookbag Backpack

Teton Bookbag Backpack
Customer Review: good backpack

This is a very good backpack, and you can't beat the price. It's sturdy, good quality. The only way it could be improved would be to add a mesh to hold water bottles. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Customer Review: Great Backpack

Excellent quality bag. Bought this for my 6th grader. She absolutely loves it . Lots of room for all the things she has to carry to school. This is an excellent buy for the price

Are E-Books Worth The Effort?

One of the first things I notised after starting with interner marketing was the amount of FREE E-Books on offer.Being sceptical about free stuff I did not expect to learn a lot with this medium, but, being human I like to get free things.I was amazed at the incredible wealth of free information out there. What makes E-Books even more attractive is the fact that the info contained in the books are up to date "now" info. This differs from university textbooks which normally takes years to publish and when they hit the stands the info is 5 years old and outdated. In the fast paced internet industry one needs up to date usable info immediately.

My advice to newbies would be to get their hands on as many free E-Books as possible and read, read, read.

Legend - The Best Of Bob Marley And The Wailers (New Packaging)

Legend - The Best Of Bob Marley And The Wailers (New Packaging)
Even as greatest hits packages go, this is an utter gem. Every song is inspired, in a class of its own, whether the real version of "I Shot the Sheriff," the hymnlike "No Woman, No Cry," or the sheer joy of "Jamming." Even allowing that Marley never wrote any bad material, then Legend is still the crème de la crème, the heart and soul of the Jamaican people packed into one five-inch compact disc. He was unique, and the message of this record, more than any other, is that he died far too soon. --Chris Nickson

Customer Review: Should Not be Marley's Bestselling

First of all, I do not own this CD, but I own almost every Bob Marley and the Wailers album, and have heard every song on this compilation. I'm also not a fan of compilation albums, because they do not give a good representation of the quality of the artist, it's just like listening to the radio. The songs chosen are all great songs, but where is Kaya, Concrete Jungle, or any song off Survival, which is his best album. If you are a new fan, I suggest to start off with one of his real albums, either Kaya, Natty Dread, Survival, or Exodus. Ultimately, looking at the track listing makes me disappointed that these are the only songs most people are hearing. If you start out with this, it makes less sense to purchase an album of which you already have a couple songs, this is a dead end album. I think if I had bought this album, I would have never bought all the other ones, which I never get tired of listening to.

Customer Review: Legend-Best of Bob Marley

Very disappointed! We had lost our old tape and thought this CD would be a great replacement. However, the sound/tempo of this CD is "off." It would have been helpful to know that this CD was NOT the ORIGINAL, but some type of reproduction. LET ME KNOW THESE DETAILS IN FUTURE, OR I SHALL FEEL THE NEED TO GO ELSEWHERE.

Thank you.

Case Logic XAS-13PISTACHIO/CHOCOLATE 13-inch Reversible Neoprene Macbook Shuttle (Pistachio/Chocolate)
PRODUCT FEATURES:Laptop sleeve is a perfect fit for the 13" MacBookReversible - two distinct colors in one great caseCompact laptop sleeve design allows you to safely transport your laptop in any briefcase, messenger bag or backpackDurable, weather - resistant neoprene laptop sleeve cushions and protects your computer

Customer Review: Great laptop sleeve!

I was looking for a sleeve to protect my Macbook and this Case Logic sleeve fit the bill nicely at a reasonable price. I wanted some extra padding and protection from scratches when I placed the laptop in a tote bag. This sleeve works great! I like that it is reversible. Also, it is a perfect fit for the Macbook and is thick and will provide a good bit of cushioning from minor impacts. Neoprene is waterproof which is also nice in case it rains or you spill something on your bag. One feature that I really appreciated is that there is NO ZIPPER! A lot of sleeves have zippers that are not shielded well from the laptop and can actually scratch your precious laptop. The flap folds down securely without any zipper. If you are looking for something with shoulder straps or extra space to carry adapters and other accessories you need a laptop bag or case and not a sleeve. If you are looking for a great laptop sleeve, though, this is it!

Customer Review: Macbook sleeve

This is a great way to carry your laptop around. Very quick access to your computer, yet good protection too. Thick neoprene to protect your laptop from scratches, but overall, very small, and can fit in any bag or backpack. Also kinda fun. Definitely would buy this one again, if I ever needed to.

Customer Review: When MapQuest is not available...

...there's Thomas Guide! I finally got tired of my son calling me from his cell phone while in traffic, totally lost and wanting me to help him find his way back on coarse. I would have to stop what I'm doing, MapQuest where he was suppose to be and figure out where he was. Of coarse, he was a moving target, so his exact location was constantly changing... making it difficult to guide him anywhere. I checked out GPS's but they were quite costly and I wasn't sure if there was a monthly fee involved for using them. Then I got smart and ordered him his own Thomas Guide and viola! Problem solved!!! And at a real reasonable price!

Thomas Guide, always there when you need it...

Customer Review: Gilmore Girls, season 7

I suppose seven years is a long time and i shouldn't be suprised that Gilmore Girls was coming to an end.

However, it was a sad ending

At least we got the ending we wanted!!!! (hint, hint)

Always funny, and enjoyable

Farewell Gilmore Girls

Customer Review: Not the best season

I have all the seasons of Gilmore Girls so I had to get the last season but for me it was the most disappointing season, especially the ending. I felt like I was cheated. I just could believe it ended the way it did. I guess they meant to make the last scene like the beginning of the first episode. What I like about the DVD is the extras, but that's it.

French Country Cookbook Holder

French Country Cookbook Holder
A great gift, this French Country Cookbook Holder will be a great addition to anyones kitchen. The intricate iron weaving and scroll design add to the French County charm. Can be used as a cookbook holder, or just a great designer accent piece. This roomy iron cookbook holder stands approximately 26 inches tall, and is 13 inches wide large enough to hold even the largest cookbooks. The cookbook holder includes two ball-and-chain bookmarks that hand down from the top. These bookmarks are designed to hold the cookbook open to a specific page, so that the chef can read the cookbook hands-free! Folds for easy storage.

Customer Review: Very Good Cookbook Stand

This is a very good stand. It not only works well for cookbooks, both slim and fat, but for the 8-1/2 x 11 sheets that come off of my printer, as it is tall enough to accommodate them. I bought two stands from another source for Christmas presents at $20.00 more, and I regret this, as mine is better.

Customer Review: Disregard the measurement given

I received this french country cookbook holder today and was very pleased with the look and ability to hold several small cookbooks. I was very concerned about the measurement given as 26" high but, as my husband kept telling me, look at the picture it appears to be as high as it is wide, well he was right (as usual) and boy am I glad it fits into the space I had set aside in my kitchen just perfectly. Just for the record it is 14 3/8" tall.

Are you running out of hard drive capacity? Do you need to archive some important digital documents photos or music? This elegant external hard drive reminiscent of a book is the perfect solution. It takes no more space than a paperback book. Collect two or more and they nest neatly together like volumes on a shelf.Features * Instant storage * Easy to use * USB 2.0 * Saving and organizing your digital photo collection * System Requirements o Available USB port o Windows 2000/XP/Vista o Mac OS X 10.4.8 or later * In the box o External hard drive o USB cable o AC adapter o Quick Install Guide * Manufacturer Warranty

Customer Review: As advertised

I have tried to extend my storage capacity by buying a mobo with IDE and SATA RAID. This was an ok solution and I had 6 HDDs working for a total of 1.3TBs (200GBX5+320GB), my PC was cluttered with cables and 2 HDDs failed in the first 6 months.

MyBook is the better solution since u dont need to strain ur PC, plus its portable and even goes to standby after few minutes of unuse.

Its also a scalable solution , I have gotten 2X 1TB and I can pick up a new one whenever i run out of space. It dosnt take much space on my desktop and looks cool.

Customer Review: Quiet and Fast but bundled software is 30 Day trial only

I bought one of these a month ago at Costco for about $200 after a coupon. I bought it on the spot with little to no research trusting that if I didn't like it, I could return it. So far that hasn't been necessary since the drive has met and exceeded my expectations after a few gremlins plagued the initial installation.

This is the 3rd WD HDD I've purchased. Historically, I've had problems with faulty WD products, particularly the 160GB portal HDD which I had to return twice because of bad sectors. I did not feel confident that this product would be any less troublesome and it seemed I was correct during installation. It refused to recognize the Desktop it was attached to, restarting everything always turned up different results. Sometimes I could get the devices to see each other only for them to lose the connection a few minutes later, other times I had no luck whatsoever. Finally, after approximately 20 attempts, the HD started working. I was about to return the device right before my last try. I tried this on several PCs with both USB and Firewire connectors and the same results so I'm convinced the HDD was at fault.

The drive is very quiet, more so than my internal HDD. I have it connected via Firewire, which is the fastest conventional external connection.

READ TEST:

* 5000 files (300 MB total) FireWire was 33% faster than USB 2.0

* 160 files (650MB total) FireWire was 70% faster than USB 2.0

WRITE TEST:

* 5000 files (300 MB total) FireWire was 16% faster than USB 2.0

* 160 files (650MB total) FireWire was 48% faster than USB 2.0

There is an eSATA connection available, but I don't have the connector on my PC. It would provide even faster transfer speeds.

The Memeo backup software bundled with the device is 30-Day trial only and not worth purchasing IMO. Although surprising that the software was trial based, I have other solutions and primarily use the device not to duplicate files but to store files apart from my PCs.

Aesthetically, it's neat and attractive with a matte black on metal finish. It has a white LED indicator light bar on the front which provides an interesting light show to externally indicate its current status. Nice functional little detail but I'm not always clear on what each animation means.

How To Make Money Sharing Free Ebooks

Do you know you can make money simply by sharing a free ebook?
Do you know that it does take commitment, time, money and effort
to build a business? How do you make money by sharing free ebooks?

To do any business you must understand the process of doing it and more importantly why you want to do it? It is not the how it is always the why? Why do you want to start a business? You must be very clear on your purpose, you must have a compelling reason to do it!

Why would people want to read your free ebook? What is the benefit? How is this free ebook going to help them? What is the title of your free ebook? You've heard it many times, the headline makes a world of difference between success and failure. What if the title of the book is "How To Be Happy, Healthy and Wealthy!" Would that title attract attention? How many people do you know want to be happy, healthy and wealthy?

Your free ebook must promise great benefits and the rewards must be attractive enough for people to take action and do what you tell them to do. What if the ebook tells them they can make $300 to $1,000 a month simply by sharing the free ebook that they are reading now and there is a great reward of $1,250,000 for them when they really work hard enough for it!

Do you have a sizzling or irresistible offer? Is it simple to do? Is it duplicatable, can your friends do it too? What if the free ebook has a link to your business and everytime someone reads the free ebook and decided to do this simple business, he clicks the link to register and he becomes your business associate and you will earn a part of his business, and wouldn't he be excited if he knows he can do the same thing too? He will have the right to change your link into his link and start the viral marketing process by sharing his free ebook with his loved ones, relatives and friends. It is a brilliant idea, isn't it?

Can you share 100 or 1,000 free ebooks? Of course, you can, there is no limit to how many ebooks you can share and the Law of Averages will never let you down. Out of the 100 ebooks you shared maybe about
10 will take action to do the same and when you have 10 people sending out 100 ebooks, you will have 1,000 free ebooks circulating and this will grow exponentially to 10,000 and 100,000 as people get excited about this simple business opportunity to make money simply by sharing this free ebook!

Can you simply learn and earn $300 to $1,000 a month by sharing this free ebook? Yes, you can, because the business opportunity offered in this free ebook has a very low start-up cost and a very low monthly operating cost: US$30 a month, it is duplicatable!

What must you ask about a business? What is the start up cost?
What is the break-even time? and What is the return on investment?
Would you be shocked if I tell you it can be as high as 5,000%
That means for a monthly investment of US$30, you can get a return
of US$1,500 a month! Is it going to happen in a week or a month, of course not! It may take 6 months, 12 months or even 24 months to achieve it. But along the way you may be able to earn a few hundreds a month which is still much more than your monthly operating cost of US$30 a month.

Why viral marketing works and chain letters doesn't? It is the element of trust, belief and commitment. Abraham Lincoln said it so well that you can fool all the people some time but you cannot fool all the people all the time! People are afraid of sending emails to friends offering things that give false promises and exaggerated claims. They know the numbers will not work if people do not do what they are supposed to do. What makes viral marketing effective, is the emotional element when people get excited and tell themselves I must do this and help my friends to benefit from it too!

Will the free ebook add value to people's lives? Is there a system to track it and a support system for those who need help along the way? Is there real value offered? Is the instruction so simple that even a child can do it? If it is a product that people are already sold on it and understand the benefits, you got a winner in your hands!

Can you imagine yourself receiving a free ebook that offers you an opportunity to help others and make money at the same time with little time, cost and effort. You simply invest a little money, send out the free ebooks, as many as you want, preferably 100 ebooks at least and let the Law of Averages take care of it for you. If you can share a free ebook a day, you would have shared 365 free ebooks!

Pam wanted a plan that would allow her to slowly lose weight and keep it off, which along with some exercise, has been her recipe for success. This book should be helpful for people who love to cook and who are beginning to pay attention to their diet and weight. Debra Lawrence, Author of THE 3:00 PM SECRET: Live Slim and Strong, Live Your Dreams

Customer Review: good for the money

had i paid more than $19 i'd been disappointed.

it is built well enough, it will last through the years...but the stitching is pretty horrible.

If it is supposed to look well made, it doesnt...it's more like patchwork or homemade...which may have been the goal, and thus worth the $14 to 19.

FYI: the picture's lighting is a little misleading...the black is solid black, not the worn look showing brown through the dye.

Dont get me wrong, I like it...it's just not what i expected from the photo and other "great" reviews.

Looks much better in the photo

I simply hooked up the firewire connection and then turned it on. Time Machine picked it right up and keeps on updating my back-ups every hour. Love it. I have checked the Time Machine back-ups and all is there. Obviously I am using a Mac so maybe that is why it works so well.

The Magic School Bus - The Busasaurus

The Magic School Bus - The Busasaurus
A visit to a dinosaur dig turns exciting when the Magic School Bus becomes a time machine that takes Ms. Frizzle's class back 67 million years, to the time when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. There, they must put aside their prejudices and preconceptions about dinosaurs, as they investigate which are dangerous carnivores, and which are herbivores. By noting their observations in their science journals, the class classifies dinosaurs according to their diets. An encounter with a T-rex concludes the journey. They realize that dinosaurs come in all shapes and sizes, and use the scientific methods of recording data and hypothesizing to reach their conclusions. They also discover how scientists today use evidence such as teeth to tell which dinosaurs ate what. A female paleontologist answers their questions at the end, explaining which part of the journey was fact, and which was speculation. Kids will learn how scientists work, as they enjoy this exciting adventure in time travel. --Elisabeth Keating

Customer Review: 4 1/2 and 6 year old love it

I got this for my 4 1/2 year old daughter for Christmas with the reading and writing book and she loves it - her 3 year old brother fights for a chance to read and write in it too. We also got one for our 6 year old nephew who is in Kindergarten with the dinosaur book and he loves it too - he loved how interactive it was and wanted to show us everything he was discovering.

Customer Review: Keeps my 2 yr old entertained

my 2 year old loves this! i would rate it better if it were easier for her to insert the cartridges and if the books were more durable (like the little leaptouch books) but otherwise it's a great toy.

DVD Features: * Repeat Play * Discovery Cards * Language Tracks in English, Spanish and French * A Look at the Seasons * Puppet Shows * Baby Monet Toy Chest Age: 6 months + Award Winner: iParenting Media Award (2005)

Customer Review: Best of all Baby Einstein DVD's!

I have the entire Baby Einstein collection and this is by FAR the best of the bunch. The other videos for this age group are sooooo boring, even my daughter doesn't want to watch them! However, she loves the beautiful music and nature scenes in Baby Monet. She laughs at the zebra puppets and smiles at the children. If you've even been freaked out by the Baby Bach video (let's face it....creepy!) this is a video you really should try! So much better than the rest!!!

Customer Review: AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS RECOMMENDS NO TV FOR CHILDREN UNDER 2!

The name "Baby Einstein" wants to make parents think it's okay for babies to watch this program, but check out these facts:

- In a study among babies ages 8-16 months, every hour spent watching programs daily such as 'BABY EINSTEIN' or 'BRAINY BABY' translated into 6-8 fewer words in their vocabularies as compared with other children their age

- for every hour of television a baby watches daily, their chances of acquiring an attention deficit disorder increases by 10%

- the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends no television at all to children under two years of age.

- brain wave activity is slower when watching television than when sleeping in babies.

In summary, three hours every day of watching programs like this day can result in 30% greater chance of ADD and 18-24 fewer vocabulary words!!

Halo 2, Vol. 2

Halo 2, Vol. 2
Original Score Composed and Produced By Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori. Album Produced by Nile Rodgers. Executive Producer Sandy Ting.

The Long Awaited Halo 2 Volume Two!!

Customer Review: Why wasn't this on the fist album?

It is curious that the Halo 2 soundtrack was broken into two separate CD's in the first place, instead of just the 4 songs from the major bands that weren't part of the game. If you are true fan and just have to have all the music, drop the 10-12 bucks (new). Otherwise, I much prefer the music from Halo I.

Customer Review: First one was better

I'm a huge fan of the first CD so bought the second... It has some great tracks but overall I thought that the first one was better.

PDF to Success While Selling E-books

Having a successful online E-book business means more than just selling E-books. It means giving the customer great value, great quality, and gaining their trust by giving away valuable information in free PDF files.

So, what is a PDF file? A PDF file is a computer file type that stands for portable document format. Essentially it gives people a free way to share articles and documents, so that everyone can read them on any type of computer. You'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader to read PDF's. Nowadays most people have this free reader already installed on their systems. PDF's also offer the advantage that they are indexed by search engines, as they look at PDF's as more valuable than web content. So, it is likely that the more PDF's you have, the easier it will be for customers to find your site.

By giving away free PDF files that contain valuable information, you automatically build trust into your products. Your prospective customers will very likely have to pay for the information in your PDF's elsewhere, so they feel that they are getting a deal. Furthermore, PDF's help to potentially mass market your website, because they are free to be passed around. PDF's can be emailed and distributed around the internet, so if there is valuable information in them, it is highly likely they will spread like wildfire, through emails, groups, chat rooms and web forums. This viral effect of PDF distribution has a huge potential to help drive tons of traffic to your website.

Lastly, try using the concept of delivering more than your product promises. After one has purchased your product, offer them an unexpected free PDF that includes information that has high value. This will build in greater customer satisfaction and people will likely spread the word.

Wishing you Success!

Hannah Montana "In Concert Collection" Deluxe Singing w/ "The Other Side of Me"

Hannah Montana "In Concert Collection" Deluxe Singing w/ "The Other Side of Me"
This Hannah Doll is dressed up for an electrifying performance and ready to rock the stage. Press a button to hear her sing her hit song, "The Other Side of Me." Includes Hannah doll in authentic outfits from T.V. show, Hannah Montana, microphone, poster and backstage pass. Requires 4 "AG13" button-cell batteries, included. Measures 13" tall.

Customer Review: another "gotta have" for the Hannah Montana set (meant facetiously)

I wish companies would set these toys to play more of the song. It is very annoying to hear the same two or three bars of an already constantly heard song. This was a Christmas gift, but I haven't seen or heard my daughter playing with this much.

Customer Review: FUN with HANNAH!

My 6yo dd loves playing with this doll. She loves wearing the bracelet that came with it. My only complaint would be the back of her head is lacking hair...but that didn't make a difference with my little girl. She loves it. The doll sings very loud, which was surprising, but at least it's only a small portion of the song. I imagine that we will be collecting ALL the Hannah dolls now...

HP 22 Tricolor Inkjet Print Cartridge (C9352AN#140)

HP 22 Tricolor Inkjet Print Cartridge (C9352AN#140)
Tri-Color Printer Cartridge for HP Inkjet DJ3930 & HP Inkjet 3940

Customer Review: Buy legitimate cartridges

I do a lot of printing and have purchased a lot of different cartridges. I now always go with the offical products by the manufactur of my printers. May cost a little more but always worth the perfect and trouble free performance.

Customer Review: More than satisfied!!

I live in a place where apparently everyone has the same printer, and we all shop in the same place because the HP 22 is never in stock (it's an overseas military base). Well, I don't have to worry about that anymore. I'll be ordering more!

Recipe Book Refill

Recipe Book Refill
These recipe pages supplement our Easel-backed Recipe Book. Package includes 25 sheets (50 pages) for recipes and notes.

Customer Review: Who writes recipies any more?

I'd rather print off the web or tear them out of Food and Wine. This Low Tech method is way outdated.

Customer Review: Fine if you need it

These are refills for a recipe book. If you have this brand of recipe book, these refills are for you. If you don't, they aren't.

I suppose they are sort of pretty but, being a guy, I would have been happy with lined card stock. Unfortunately, you can't find it in the right size.

Western Digital 500GB My Book Essential 2.0 - USB 2.0 External Hard Drive WDH1U5000N

Western Digital 500GB My Book Essential 2.0 - USB 2.0 External Hard Drive WDH1U5000N
This elegant external hard drive, reminiscent of a book, is the perfect storage solution. It takes no more space than a paperback book. Collect two or more and they nest neatly together like volumes on a shelf. Installation is a snap because you don't really install this drive, you just plug it in and it's ready to use. A USB 2.0 simple connection offers convenience and compatibility among multiple computers. Dimensions - Height 6.5 x Length 5.4 x Width 2.1 Weight - 2.5 Pounds

Customer Review: Auto shut off is annoying

Seems reliable, quiet, and fast enough... but i really don't like the auto shut off feature. If you don't use it for 10 minutues it shuts down. When you try to access a file from it again, it goes back on. I could be working on a file, step away for a minute, then come back to it and save... and then it has to spin up again just to save. This takes a few seconds every time this happens, which slows me down.

Also... I am unsure of the longevity of an electronic item which is constantly going on and off. In any electronic device, a surge is sent through the device when powering up. We all know that this process of starting up is what wears electronics out, and decreases their life.

So.... if there is someone out there that knows how to turn this feature off... please let me know. I would love it if without auto shut off.

Customer Review: Great price for the amount of storage.

This is the second Western Digital HD that I purchased and I am very happy with the ease and speed of transfers.

Imagine the possibilities…..

"Possibilities" is the musical event of the year. The album is a series of inspired encounters between Herbie Hancock and world-renowned musicians - including John Mayer, Sting, Trey Anastasio, Annie Lennox, Damien Rice and Lisa Hannigan, Santana and Angelique Kidjo, Paul Simon, Christina Aguilera, Jonny Lang, Joss Stone, and Raul Midon. Herbie Hancock describes "Possibilities" this way: "This is a real collaboration that we're doing here. It's all been decided at the session, a record without borders, woven like a tapestry with many colors. The possibilities are endless"

Customer Review: music we love

Possibilities

From 2007 this has got to be one of the best. We can't what to get the 2008 release...

Customer Review: mediocre

i am a vintage audio guy and was dying for some new music. when i looked at the artests lineup i said what the heck.

well, the musics are mediocre, i have to say Santana definately do a better job in his collaborated CDs.

nevertheless, i do enjoy a few tracks and feel justified.

Oster 2 Speed Hand Blender

Oster 2 Speed Hand Blender
Oster 2614 2 Speed Handheld Blender achieve consistent results with this multi-task hand blender

Customer Review: Wish I had read these reviews first...

I'm usually pretty good about researching first but I was already at Target, I needed a blender and there was this for $20 and the KitchenAid for $50. Being Mr. Cheap, I of course bought this one and...well, it lasted 2 weeks before the plastic housing broke and it won't hold the blade any more. Of course I pitched the box and receipt so I'm out $20...but smarter!

Customer Review: RGCvik

Had this for a couple years and continue to use it almost daily. I only use it to make protein shakes with milk and power mix. It seems to work well for that. One does have to be careful not to pull the unit out of the cup to much or it will splatter all over the place; I don't falt the unit only the user...after all it is a blender..... It is a little noisy and can vibrate the counter a little if you place the head all the way to the bottom of the cup. It is simple to use (two buttons) and very easy to clean.

The Swell Season

The Swell Season
Frames front man Hansard has teamed up with classically trained Czech vocalist and pianist, Irglova to produce this album of affecting songs and compositions. From straight songs to piano instrumentals, "The Swell Season" affords an insight into a whole other side of Glen/The Frames, as well as offering a perfect introduction to this very talented newcomer. The record takes its name from author Josef Skvorecky's book of the same name. Set in Nazi occupied Czechoslovakia, the story centers on one man's love of music and his pursuit of unattainable women as a country comes unglued. Like the book, the record deals with the pains and hopes of those struggling to make sense of their lives.

Customer Review: Can't stop listening to this music everty since I saw the movie "Once".

The movie "Once" is really great, the music from it even better. Glen Hansard in particular has a very moving emotional voice, Marketa Irglova is amazing. I can't wait for them to come Keller in April.

Customer Review: Once CD repeat

I love the Once soundtrack, but must agree that this CD is a disappointment and offers not enough new songs to purchase. If you've got the soundtrack, you've got enough.
